Saros 133 Lunar Eclipse Series — Historical Events Research

Overview

Saros Series 133 is a long-lived lunar eclipse series spanning roughly 1,262 years (69 eclipses, 1557–2819). This document researches world events within a 1-month window of each eclipse, from the first penumbral whisper in 1557 through the deep totalities of the 21st century.

The series begins with seven penumbral eclipses (#1–#7, 1557–1665), where the Moon barely grazes Earth's outer shadow — invisible to the naked eye. Partial eclipses deepen from #8 (1683) through #20 (1899), each one biting deeper. Totality begins at #21 (1917) and grows more dramatic with each cycle as the Moon passes through the very center of Earth's umbra.

Article Series Structure

This research is organized into the following articles:

  1. Part I — The Birth and Growth of the Series (#1–#16, 1557–1827) — The first 16 eclipses, from the penumbral whispers through the deepening partial eclipses. Covers the Habsburg wars, English Civil War, Great Plague, Ottoman Siege of Vienna, and the Napoleonic era.

  2. Part II — The Deep Eclipses (#17–#26, 1845–2008) — The 10 deepest eclipses before totality and the first 6 total eclipses. Covers the Irish Famine, American Civil War, Boer War, both World Wars, Bloody Sunday, and the 2008 financial crisis.

  3. Part III — Pattern Analysis Across All 26 Eclipses — Statistical analysis of Tajika aspects, recurring event themes, intensity correlations, the Three-Category Planetary Influence model, and the overarching theme of "The Fracturing of Order."

  4. Part IV — Aditya Zodiacal Progression Analysis — How the Bhaga foundation DNA manifests through 10 zodiacal phases as the Sun-Moon axis drifts through the Aditya signs over 469 years.

  5. Eclipse #27 — March 3, 2026 — The upcoming eclipse: Tajika configuration, the Iran thread, Bhaga's Ledger (9 predictive scenarios), and methodological caveats.

  6. Country House Analysis — How different countries experience the same eclipses differently, based on location-specific ascendants and house placements.
